The
Botox® Injection Procedure
Botox® is
injected into the muscles that cause lines and wrinkles.
As the muscles weaken, the skin overlying the muscles
also relaxes causing the wrinkles to soften. Using a
tiny microneedle, a small amount of Botox® is precisely
injected into several locations on the face. Pain is
minimal and results can last for up to four months.
Botox® Therapy for Severe Underarm Sweating
Botox® is FDA-approved for severe underarm sweating when
topical agents don't work.
Botox® helps control this condition by temporarily blocking
the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate
the sweat glands.
The procedure involves injecting a small volume of Botox® solution into the affected area through a very fine
needle. The result is a significant reduction in underarm
sweating within four weeks of your first treatment.
The treatment usually last 6 months.
Our dermatologist will recommend a treatment strategy
to ensure that you receive the best possible result.
